~Full time Preschool/Before & After School Care Supervisor (ECE with Class 4 Drivers License) 7:30-3:30 set shifts ( August 2023) @ our Pleasantside Kinder Kampus location, 195 Barber Street, Port Moody
WAGE: $25.50 + $4.00 a hour government ECE WE top up for BC certified ECE’s

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, creative and passionate certified Early Childhood Educator for our Pleasantside Kinder Kampus location in the “Senior Supervisor Role.”
A successful candidate is someone who is reliable, innovative and eager to take initiative with programming for children both indoors and outdoors. We are seeking a qualified ECE who possesses strong leadership skills in a ECE setting and loves working with young children and building positive relationships with each child and their families. The ideal candidate must be thoughtful and caring and able to provide and implement a variety of engaging activities and learning experiences for children while understanding child development and meeting the needs of all children in the program. You must have clear English speaking communication skills and a strong work ethic both independently and in a team setting.
Job Summary:
Supervise staff and take responsibility for day-to-day operation of the centre while maintaining contact with Management. This is the senior staff position at each Kinder Kampus centre, and all of the other staff members report to the Supervisor. In consultation with Management, the Supervisor holds the responsibility and authority, in all aspects of day to day operation of the centre. Our Pleasantside location offers a 5.5 hour Junior Kindergarten program with a ratio of 1:8 as well as Before & After School Care to children Kindergarten through Grade 5 from Pleasantside and Heritage Mountain Elementary Schools in Port Moody.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure that the Centre Meets all Legal and Regulatory Requirements
- Ensure that Operating Procedures and Policies are Implemented
- Supervise day-to-day operation to ensure that the policies and procedures are followed
- Contribute to programming and act as a resource to other staff in program planning
- Supervise and participate in daily routines and activities to a high standard and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Provide guidance and mentoring for employees, practicum students, and volunteers working at the centre.
- Liaison between Parents, Staff, Children, Contractors and Management.
You must currently live locally and hold a full and valid ECE license to practice in British Columbia WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A PRSCHOOL/DAYCARE TYPE SETTING IN BC/CANADA and be able to present three references that can attest to your suitability to work with children. Having or willingness to promptly obtain your Class 4 Drivers License is required!
Our Pleasantside Kinder Kampus location is in operation Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 6:00pm in Port Moody, BC. You must live local and be able to reliably commute to us 5 days a week. We are transit accessible! Our teachers are offered reimbursement for ECE workshops, ongoing education incentives, free parking, paid prep/flex time as well as opportunities for wage increases and promotions. The starting wage in this position is $25.50 per hour plus the $4.00 a hour government wage top up for BC certified ECE’s. Employer paid comprehensive package for Medical and Dental benefits (offered after 3 months of employment, once probationary period ends). A one-time SIGNING BONUS OF $500.00 – $1,000.00 after successful training and employment once the 3 month probation period ends.

Qualifications:
- Must have experience in a Group Child Care/Group Preschool Setting
- Over 19 years of age and live locally
- Must have a clear Criminal Record Check with 3 references
- Must have a valid First Aid and ECE License to Practice in BC
- Class 4 Drivers License required for the Preschool/OOSC Supervisor Position
